Wyllie Recycling operate from a prime location in the Inveralmond Industrial Estate in Perth allowing easy access to all major motorways in Scotland. The company incorporates customised technology and highly skilled staff to ensure the most effective and efficient processes for managing the throughput of waste material received. 02

Our fleet of vehicles support the wide variety of containers and collection methods available to cater for all volumes of waste. On site facilities include a Public Weighbridge and Container Loading Ramp.

Our modern recycling facility is equipped with cutters, shredders, granulators, balers and a picking line each with specific tasks to assist the through-put of materials received from our customer base.

  • Cutters – bespoke equipment designed for fast efficient removal of waste material from cores, spools, centres.

  • Shredders – paper shredder for secure destruction of confidential waste and plastic shredder for bulky hard plastics.

  • Granulator – large piece of machinery which effortlessly processes bulky hard plastic waste into small granules for easy storage and onward transport.

  • Balers – chosen to produce strong, safe bales of material to ensure maximum payload.

  • Picking Line – specially designed and manufactured for maximum segregation and sorting of mixed waste material.

Health & Safety is a priority on site as the recycling industry has one of the highest reported accident rates. Our staff are trained utilising safe systems of work and risk assessment methods which are regularly reviewed and updated. The company is subject to rigorous assessment on a regular basis by the Health & Safety Executive, our insurers, auditors, ISO and Achilles management. SEPA are also on site on a regular basis ensuring we comply with the terms of our waste management licence.

Duty of care and traceability are guaranteed by our management information systems providing up-to-date and accurate details of all movements of waste in and out of the operation. Documented waste transfer notes are processed for all our collections and signed copies kept on file including important data such as date, producer, type of waste and weight.

Performance and quality levels throughout the company are regularly assessed and improvements implemented to ensure we are constantly operating efficiently and working towards maximising recycling and reducing waste to landfill.
